The True Spirit of the Holidays

The whole point of the holidays is not what mom hid under the tree or what present you got on that particular night (Hanukkah reference). The true spirit of the holidays is about giving and spending time with your family. I am Jewish, so for me it's eating latkahs, lighting the menorah, and singing songs. We will be together as a family celebrating each other and the spirit that Hanukkah reminds us of (along with the presents :) ). But it's not just Christmas and Hanukkah that should be recognized. I will blog about New Years when the time comes, but New Years is quickly approaching and well, what are your new resolutions? It's 2012!!!! OMG! I feel old! Anyway, have a Happy Holiday season and I will see you all in 2012! 

btw, I am going to be a published author (actually already am via Kindle, but to make even more official,) I am going to create a new website for my book. I will keep you all updated on that as well. 

Your First Kiss

A kiss seals a powerful contract and you want to make sure that your first is crucial. It's an amazing thing; your first kiss. I remember mine semi-clearly. It was in a janitor's closet (not the most romantic spot) and well the other person probably didn't appreciate it as much as I probably did back then. Come on, I was 10. I mean it counted for me, unless it didn't. Then my official "first kiss" would have been very different. My best friend, J, said that I was his first kiss. That was two years ago in a play that we did together. He was Juliet, and I was Romeo. I smiled and I thought to myself; wow, what an honor. Then, later that night, another friend of mine had her first kiss with J. It was ironic. Her first kiss was the guy that had his first kiss with me. Another thing, my bf and I experienced our first kiss last night. It was wet for sure, but it was a sweet one. It was his first, but I can't exactly track the number that the particular kiss was for me. Another instance this week was the fact that the show I am currently in has a particular scene with spin the bottle. In practice, the bottle has landed on me 3 times. I don't know if there is significance, or if G-D is trying to tell me something. Oh well, it's just a show. It doesn't matter what happens after that scene, or the show for that matter; we are friends for life. NO.MATTER.WHAT.

I am on the Top of the World

I am now off the singles market, I have a book on the Kindle market, I have a life at school and tech week for the Telling It True performance is in full swing! What more could I want then, do you ask? Well, I need you to spread the word! My book on Kindle has only sold 5 copies! Now I know most people are sticking to the traditional paper and words on a physical page and I am totally cool with that! But come on, the best way for my sales to scale upward is to spread the word! Also, sorry for not updating. I am in tech week for the show Telling It True and well it's hectic! But hey, it's totally worth it in the end. To sum things up, Glee is dramatic, Gossip Girl, when is ever bad? NEVER! CSI:NY = still addicted! ANTM - season finale NEXT WEEK (so pumped!) Anyway, ciao bellas! I have work to do :)

Finally Fame!

I have waited for so long for this moment. It has seemed like forever but I finally got what I deserved. First, I published my new book via Kindle called "The Golden Protector". Its the story about two kids that discover a curse which leads them to World War II in an attempt to save their ancestors. I also have a new possible boyfriend whom I admire very much. Let's just call him A to be on the safe side. :) Hes sweet, adorable, funny, and he's fun to be around :) And now for the bummer... EXAMS! I hate exams. Every year you know they are coming but they still tend to sneak up on you. Lucky for me, I am off with a free start because I already finished my exam for Holocaust and Film (oh it was just an 8 page paper that took me 3 HOURS!) So yeah, I deserve to sleep in tomorrow :) Anyway, good night :)

Things have Changed for me

Last year was awful for me. This year, did G-D finally answer my prayers? I have prayed hard and long, and I feel like that things are turning around for the better for me. I have a possible boyfriend in the future, and my book is on its way to hitting bookstores across the nation. Its on Kindle if anyone wants to check it out. Its called The Golden Protector. I have really enjoyed this week. Tomorrow is 11/11/11! I can't wait to see the end of the week :)

Blessings in Disguise

This weekend was it I presume. This was when everything started dealing everything out in front of me that I have been waiting for. So on Saturday, my "date" was a bit of a disaster and a bit of a gain. I gained a new "friend/its complicated" status but with our fingers crossed, we will be something after Thanksgiving. Also so I did one of my shows today and I tripped before my scene. I ended up with a minor sprain and I made it through the scene. My guardian angel has to be J. He is absolutely amazing! I don't know what I would do without him. So yeah, my weekend was successful! :) Sometimes, a curse can be a blessing in disguise. Sweet dreams.

Israel

I want to talk about a country I deeply care about: Israel Ever since Gilad Shalit has been returned home, people have been in an uproar about the exchange for his freedom! 1,027 prisoners! I know it is a large amount, but it saved a man that has been in captivity since 2005! Five and a half years! That is a long time! Anyway, Israel is important; never forget that. I hope you all have a spooky Halloween! Let me know what you think of the trade!

Halloween

BOO! Fellow Readers, its time for my favorite holiday! Halloween for me has been a traditional scare the crap out of anyone and eat however much candy that you can stomach. You can be anything.. Its your day to not be yourself. You can wear the mask of your favorite super hero and trick or treat, or you can dress up in those "adult" costumes and attend the hottest Halloween party EVER! Your choice. But its tricks or treats. You can have both. Enjoy yourself! Happy Halloween!

The Comeback of Books

Looks like I'll be hitting the books literally this weekend. I have not 1, not 2, but 8 books on my plate! From Shakespeare to Modern black literature, I have it on the brain and ready to read. I am still trying to finish the Hunger Games (second book) and trust me, its worth taking a long time to read! Its so good, but nothing beats the original you know? What books are you guys reading right now? If you don't have one, then snuggle up in your bed or by the fire this weekend. Enjoy it while you can ;)

Dancing the Night Away...

So when the music finally stops, then what? You keep dancing of course. You had the opportunity to strut your stuff, arrest a few people (there was a jail and bail) and you also got to grind with your peeps... unless you didn't have the guts to do any of this, you missed one of the greatest nights ever. I was nominated for a couples thing with J, my date/best friend IN THE WORLD! and I got to a bad-ass officer. Good night ya'll :)

Pizza and Sukkot

I have ordered pizza for the first time in like EVAR!!!!! I am so excited to eat it! I will also be able to enjoy my Personal observance of Sabbath because I will be watching CSI NY at 9 tonight! its like my favorite show of all times! So pizza, whatever you put on it, its your choice! However, with Sukkot, you can;t always have it your way. HAHAHAHA ;)

The Help and Yom Kippur

You are wondering how these two are related! Well, I saw the Help yesterday and I seriously wanted to punch the white people in the face for being so mean to the Colored people. I was really glad that it had a good ending though. Treat others the way you want to be treated. That is what I have grown up with and with Yom Kippur being yesterday, its a chance for us that if we haven't followed the rules towards other human beings, this is our chance to start over, you know? Food for thought :) p.s my dog actually passed away on the 4th of October. :( I will miss you buddy <3

Oops... Sorry.

Sorry about the whole "see you Monday" gig. Things got in the way and I never was able to put up a new blog. My dog passed away 2 days ago and I was really sad. Plus the pressure of schoolwork, turning in college applications and various other tasks are finally dawning on me. It seems that I am now fully experiencing "Senior overload" if there is such thing. I guess I must return to studying for a quiz this morning. Hebrew, my favorite. Talk to you guys soon!

The Jewish New Year

Well fellow Jews its time for that epic New Year holiday, Rosh Hashanah. Time to gorge on Apples and Honey and break out into song in dance as the year 5772 rolls around the corner tonight! In other news, I have a half day, so I'm going to be spending the WHOLE weekend with my family! What are you plans? Sorry this blog is short... I am just SO excited to be heading home! Rumors

People like to talk, just about the wrong subject sometimes. All in all, rumors can help but rumors can also hurt. It can help inform the uninformed and hurt those who are subjected to its content matter. That's why I try not to be too dramatic on something and I try to play it cool. Rumors are meant for those who deserve a good smack in the face. those who spread them need a quick slap as well because you never know when it could be a lie. Food for thought... :)

Typical Saturday!

So today I went to Friendly with the coolest people! C and E!! E is my sister and C is her best friend but I called BBNSF (bestest best newest sister friend) So we WALKED all the way there! We sang a variety of songs and just talked about random stuff! It was fun to get all of that stress off me. Then we went to Harry Potter! :) Then, we went shopping and I got a cool necklace. Then we went to Five Guys and I LOVE their burgers! So much better than Cold Cuts (yuck). Then we went to went to the Halloween store and we browsed and tried on different costumes! I want to be a CSI this year! :) Then our taxi ride home, the lady was super sweet! (rare to find these days) It ended up being a fun trip! :)

Google+

This is  the ametur version of Facebook. I confess that I do own one of these "copycat" accounts, but this and Facebook have many similarites and a few differences that I would like to point out.
- Its still blogging about your every moment...
- photos are the exact same format... HUGE!
- videos. enough said.
- Commenting and rating them is the same. That makes it easier for us :)

The only plus side about Google+ (tehehe) is that I can choose who to share certain information with in my "circles" while Facebook, all of your family can see your crazy stunts that you pull off at school.

College!

So we seniors know how it feels. Applying to colleges can be a pain. Always be one step ahead of the game. Then you can kick back and relax and ACTUALLY enjoy senior year! I have always been ahead of the game on everything and college is not an exception! I am not going to let procrastination get in the way of my future. I am involved in 4 theater productions this year and I am taking private voice lessons to improve my voice! Never know when that will come in handy! See? If you are on top of things, then you can take on multiple things that you love and not have to dwell on the things you hate. Hope this helped :)

Telling It True

So I am involved in a little theatrical performance of it's own nature called Telling it True. 11 of my colleagues and I talk about inspiring stories that have shaped the course of our life. I revealed my big secret today to the group and I was shaking the whole time! However, my good friend James* (named changed) apologized to me from two years ago! I am finally glad we are really good friends again! :) Anyway, those performances are not until December. In other news, our school's volleyball and soccer teams won their games this afternoon! Go TEAM! Now, I have to jet and finish some English.... :)

First Day of School

Hello!
Welcome to the first blog of me as a Senior! I will try to update to those who will hear and supply you with the best insight for senior year. As of now, I try to stay on top of my work in order for me to have the relaxing year seniors look forward to up to this point. Prank and Spiel have BOTH been wiped off the Senior's to-do list thanks to the stunts of last years class and yes, college applications are no piece of cake. They take time. My advice? Be on top of things. That's how I get by. Then you can sit back, relax and watch your senior year play out perfectly. I apologize ahead of time because its 12:15 in the morning and I typed out of boredom.
