The Oscars and other News
Tonight is the 84th Annual Academy Awards. Tonight's host is Billy Crystal, in which this will be his ninth time hosting the Awards. In any case, there are some serious competitors for tonight's gold! Good luck to all of our nominees and may the best ones win! In other news, I deeply apologize because it's been a long time since I last wrote. So, I am done with Cabaret (it was a stellar performance) and deeply involved into our new musical, Into the Woods, which is set to perform March 31st/April 1st! Prom is April 2nd, in which I have a date in mind but I have to confirm it. This is my last prom of high school, so I have to make it count. Also, homework is starting to annoy me and I want nothing to do with it (senioritis!) I had a blast this weekend, I was swing dancing yesterday at the Shriners Club and the night before I went out to dinner with my roommate, my sister and her roommate. We had to wait for a taxi for 50 minutes! Isn't that ridiculous? Seriously! And they thought we were playing around? NO! We weren't! So in conclusion to this busy weekend, my book is still in the editing process. How it works is that my publisher and I are tossing the work back and forth in which I tell him which parts to correct. It's a tedious process, but it will be all worth it in the end. I hop you all are having a Fabulous February. If you have any suggestions for topics to write about, comment below :)

Legally Thoughtful
In five minutes, I'll be legal. I'll be 18 years old. It's scary now that you think about it. I have been on this earth for almost 18 years listening, learning, witnessing the world around me change and I, myself have changed over the course of my life. I hope to continue in doing so. Anyway, I am off to sleep. Just thought I would put that up there... :)

Something to Think About...
I deeply apologize for not having posted for such a long period of time. However, every day life got the best of me and has yanked my free time away from me. Oh well, you can't get everything you asked for. Senior Cabaret is in a week ( this is basically a senior talent show) so is our Swing Dance performance to the tune of "Candy Man". Then we have musical rehearsals underway for Into the Woods set for the end of March/beginning of April. We have your every day classes and time committed to the prison known as "school" as well as many other things to juggle. Crazy yet? I have been driven to madness. I have barely had enough time to sleep, more or less, eat a regular meal and catch up on my favorite TV shows or sit back and read a book or take a nap. Hardly any time! No, I have to put up with the routine that the school assigns for you. Freedom, HA! As if! I have been busy at work doing other things that the school now boasts about. I have sent in my completed manuscript to the publisher and hopefully if all goes well, I will be a published author before graduation! Isn't it exciting? For those of you who do have the time to read my articles, I thank you. Spread the word! I want to make myself know to my resources. After all, we are the age of technology! I watched a movie just recently called "Madagascar" which reminded me of this institution; "Don't bite the hand of the person that feeds you." This led to another movie popping into my head fighting back this quote, "V for Vendetta," aka my favorite movie of all times! "People shouldn't be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people" and this is true. In less than 3 days, (Monday is my birthday) and I will be eligible to have, at my disposal, a great adult right; the right to vote. This is particularly important because the Presidentialb election will decide if our country will fall to pieces. The President should be afraid of us; we make the choice which decides their fate. Think about that... Until next time, I have a dinner to attend to. I don't want to be late to my own party ;)
